Radiopharmaceuticals in nuclear medicine

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá radiofarmaky v nukleární medicíně, jejich vývojem, aplikacemi a budoucností. Radiofarmaka, kombinující radioaktivní izotopy s farmaceutickými látkami, jsou klíčové pro diagnostiku a léčbu řady onemocnění, především v onkologii. Práce analyzuje současné možnosti a výzvy spojené s vývojem a aplikací radiofarmak, nové trendy v cílené terapii a diagnostice, bezpečnostní aspekty používání radiofarmak a jejich potenciál ve spojení s precizní medicínou. Zahrnuje přehled základních principů nukleární medicíny, klasifikaci radiofarmak, metody jejich syntézy a označování, aplikace v diagnostice a terapii, a také bezpečnostní aspekty a regulace. Práce také diskutuje integraci radiofarmak s novými technologickými přístupy, jako jsou nanotechnologie, precizní medicína a umělá inteligence, a poskytuje přehled o budoucích směrech výzkumu a vývoje v této oblasti

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on radiopharmaceuticals in nuclear medicine, their development, applications, and future. Radiopharmaceuticals, combining radioactive isotopes with pharmaceutical substances, are crucial for the diagnosis and treatment of various diseases, especially in oncology. The thesis analyzes the current possibilities and challenges associated with the development and application of radiopharmaceuticals, new trends in targeted therapy and diagnostics, safety aspects of using radiopharmaceuticals, and their potential in connection with precision medicine. It includes an overview of the basic principles of nuclear medicine, classification of radiopharmaceuticals, methods of their synthesis and labeling, applications in diagnostics and therapy, as well as safety aspects and regulations. The thesis also discusses the integration of radiopharmaceuticals with new technological approaches, such as nanotechnology, precision medicine, and artificial intelligence, and provides an overview of future directions in research and development in this area.
