Aplikace nanočástic při léčbě a diagnostice rakoviny patří mezi nejstudovanější vědecká témata. Jejich vlastnosti je předurčují pro široké využití nejen v radioterapii. Léčba rakovinných onemocnění pomocí ozařování ionizujícím zářením patří mezi hojně využívané metody.
