Abstract:

Bakalářská práce pojednává o vlivu paleontologických výzkumů a poznatků na filmovou interpretaci světa dinosaurů z hlediska rekonstrukce jejich "modelů". Modelem je myšlena celistvá představa o stavbě těla a vzhledu těchto vyhynulých tvorů. Součástí práce je zároveň vykreslení jak diváckého, tak tvůrčího, napříč desetiletími měnícího se, pohledu na dinosaury. Na základě vlastních studií je zde zodpovězena otázka, jakým způsobem paleontologie ovlivňovala filmový průmysl a proč je dodnes svět dinosaurů atraktivním tématem. Pohledy na jejich vyobrazení ze stran paleontologů, filmařů a diváků jsou v práci vyobrazeny a srovnány v několika vybraných příkladech nejikoničtějších děl kinematografické historie s dinosaury "v hlavní roli".

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis deals with the influence of paleontological research and knowledge on the film interpretation of the world of dinosaurs in terms of reconstruction of their "models". The model means a holistic idea of the body structure and appearance of these extinct creatures. Part of the work is also a depiction of both the audience and the creative, changing decades of view of dinosaurs. Based on my own studies, the question of how paleontology has influenced the film industry and why the world of dinosaurs is still an attractive topic is also answered in this work. Perspectives on their depictions by paleontologists, filmmakers and spectators are depicted and compared in several selected examples of the most iconic works of cinematographic history with dinosaurs "in a lead role".
