Furtherance of communication skills in preschool children in a kindergarten setting

Abstract:

Ve své bakalářské práci se zabývám podporou rozvoje komunikačních schopností u dětí předškolního věku v mateřské škole. V teoretické části vymezuji pojem komunikace, charakterizuji dítě předškolního věku a jeho tělesný a duševní vývoj, popisuji specifické činnosti předškolních dětí i stádia vývoje řeči a zdůrazňuji úlohu mateřské školy v rozvoji komunikačních schopností dětí. Pro dítě předškolního věku je velmi důležitý vztah k učiteli, proto zde zmiňuji i osobnost pedagoga a jeho úkoly v oblasti logopedické prevence. V praktické části charakterizuji sledovaný vzorek dětí, zabývám se problematikou jejich výslovnosti i komunikačních dovedností a předkládám pracovní materiál zpracovaný v podobě preventivních logopedických chvilek a námětů k činnostem pro podporu a rozvoj komunikačních schopností dětí v prostředí mateřské školy

Abstract:

My bachelor thesis is dealing with advancement of development of preschool children's communication skills in kindergarten. In the theoretical part I define the concept of communication, I characterize a preschool child and their physical and mental development, I describe their specific activities and the stages of language development, and I emphasize the role of kindergarten in the development of children's communication skills. The relationship with their teacher is very important for preschool children, therefore I discuss teacher's personality and their function in the field of logopaedics prevention. In the practical part I characterize the researched sample of children, I deal with their pronunciation and communication skills problems and I present the working material processed in the form of preventive logopaedics short activities and suggestions how to support and develop children's communication skills in a kindergarten setting
