Importance of the MKH method for heterophoric measurement and optimalization of binocular correction

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se ve své teoretické části zabývá fyziologií a patologií jednoduchého binokulárního vidění. Dále jsou vysvětleny pojmy heteroforie a fixační disparita, jež jsou následovány přehledem metod pro jejich vyšetřování. Nejrozsáhlejší oblast teoretické části je věnována testům, potřebnému vybavení a postupu při vyšetřování dle metodiky MKH. Teoretickou část uzavírá stručný přehled pravidel pro předpis prizmatické korekce. Výzkumná část se zaměřuje na porovnání hodnot heteroforie vyšetřované třemi různými testovými metodami, jimiž jsou von Graefeho metoda, Mallettův test a metodika MKH.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with physiology and pathology of simple binocular vision in its theoretical part. The concepts of heterophoria and fixation disparity are also explained, followed by methods for their examination. The most extensive section of the theoretical part is devoted to the tests, the necessary equipment and the process of the measuring according to the MCH. The theoretical part summarizes a brief overview of the rules for prismatic correction. The research part focuses on comparing the values of the heterophoria measured by three different test methods, such as the von Graefe method, the Mallett Test and the MCH methodology.
