Abstract:

Disertační práce Estetika Władysława Tatarkiewicze si klade za cíl charakterizovat estetickou pozici tohoto autora (1886–1980). Přináší ucelený pohled na vývoj autorova uvažování na poli estetiky. Kořeny a příčiny autorského stanoviska hledá v širším kontextu. Zabývá se pozicí estetiky v Tatarkiewiczově celkovém vědeckém zájmu, charakterizuje metodologický postup autora a analyzuje jeho způsob zpracování dějin estetiky. Vedle toho také shromažďuje a interpretuje teze, které jsou přítomny v jeho studiích o estetice.

Abstract:

A dissertation Aesthetics of Władysław Tatarkiewicz makes efforts to characterize the aesthetic position of the eminent Polish scholar [1886-1980]; it offers a comprehensive view of the development of his thought in the field of aesthetics, and its history. It looks for the roots and causes of the author's own principles and opinions in a broader context of his philosophical studies, it examines the place of aesthetics in the whole of Tatarkiewicz's work, characterizes his methodological approach, and analyzes his way of processing the history of aesthetics in terms of periodization, definitions, resources, and conceptualization.
