Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce byla vypracována jako popis zájezdu po zajímavých alžbětinských a jakubovských sídlech. Jejím cílem bylo vytvořit podrobný komentář pro průvodce, jehož součástí je historie jednotlivých sídel a architektonické znaky typické pro danou dobu. Zájezd je naplánován na šest dní v jarním období, s tím, že cesta je zajištěna letecky a posléze autobusem. Tento zájezd je určen pro všechny, kteří se zajímají o angličtinu a britskou architekturu a chtěli by se dozvědět více. Po celou dobu zájezdu jsou promluvy k účastníkům v anglickém jazyce. Práce je rozdělena na Úvod a 9 kapitol. Za úvodem následuje mapa a itinerář cesty, tyto části nejsou součástí kapitol. V první kapitole se zabývám historií a vlivem renesance na architekturu. Následujících sedm kapitol je věnováno navštíveným sídlům. Obrázky sídel, zajímavých částí sídel či typických znaků jsou uvedeny jako součásti jednotlivých kapitol pro lepší přehled a orientaci. Součástí práce je jedna příloha.

Abstract:

In the bachelor thesis entitled ?A sightseeing tour of Elizabethan and Jacobean Great Houses? I focused on the creation of a detailed guidebook of selected great houses built in the Elizabethan and Jacobean periods. The aim of my work was to provide information for a tourist guide and to prepare a tour for people interested in British architecture who would like to have more specialized knowledge about the great houses´ features typical of that period. During the tour the tourists have learned about the history of the visited great houses and mainly about the architectural features typical of the Elizabethan and Jacobean periods and the great houses. The tourists have visited seven great houses, four of which (Longleat, Hardwick Hall, Wollaton Hall and Burghley House) were built in the Elizabethan period and the other three great houses (Audley End, Hatfield House and Knole) are known as Jacobean great houses. They were able to learn basic information of Renaissance influence on English architecture and to see the features typical of the architecture of that time.
