Shear strength of selected anisotropic rocks with cleavage
Abstract:
The thesis is focused on exploring of the shear strength of slate with distinguish planes of weakness i.e. cleavage. Tests were carried out on the solids with a predetermined shear plane. Drilled specimens of slate were divided into five groups based on the different angle between shear plane and cleavage. Testing of each group was carried out in seven directions. Diplomová práce je soustředěna na zkoumání smykové pevnosti jílovité břidlice s viditelnými plochami oslabení ‒ kliváží. Zkoušky se realizovaly na tělískách s předem stanovenou plochou porušení. Vyvrtaná jádra břidlic byla rozdělená do pěti skupin na základě odklonu ploch kliváže v tělískách. Testování každé skupiny proběhlo v sedmi směrech střihu.
