The Nordic Council Reconsidered: Grass-Rooted Social Constructivism as the Relevant Answer to the Essence of Nordic Cooperation? A Bottom-up Approach

Abstract:

„The Nordic Council Reconsidered: Grass-Rooted Social Constructivism as the Relevant Answer to the Essence of Nordic Cooperation? A Bottom-up Approach.“ The study aims explore and emhasis the essence of the Nordic cooperation, that is the base of its representative organisation - the Nordic Council in the context of the cooperation is Scandinavia. At the first sight, the Nordic Council is not a common inter-governmental organisation based on stategic and vital interests. In order to understand, we have to, first of all take into account long and tradicional inter-societal exchange and processes between the 5 Nordic societies. Simply, we are dealing with "grass-rooted" processes and thus the "bottom-up" approach is to be applied as we should be considering the existence of a Nordic identity as it originated in the processes mentioned. Moreover, there are several practical consequences, one of which is the institutionalization of the cooperation - ex post - in order to manage the Nordic transnationalism. As the emphasis in put on the eseence of the cooperation, we consider the social constructivism as the relevant paradigm for our srudy.

Abstract:

Pripravovaná štúdia si dáva za hlavný cieľ preskúmať a zdôrazniť esenciu, to znamená podstatu fenoménu Severskej Rady v kontexte celkovej spolupráce v regióne Severnej Európy a Škandinávie, keďže už na prvý pohľad nejde o rádovú medzivládnu organizáciu, založenú v zmysle presadzovania strategických cieľov a záujmov členských štátov; berúc na zreteľ dlhodobo narastajúcu bohatú intersocietálnu výmenu medzi 5 krajinami (Norden) ako aj procesy, odnepamäti prebiehajúce medzi mini, možno hovoriť skôr o reakcii štátnych aparátov na toto dianie od korienkov, na vznik a „bottom-up“ formovanie tzv. „Nordic identity (Severskej identity)“ a jej praktické (cezhraničné) konsekvencie – možno hovoriť o ex post vytvorení formálnych nástrojov manažovania týchto nadnárodných spoločenských procesov v regióne. Dôraz je kladený na túto esenciu Severskej Rady, implicitne poukazujúc na zásadný význam sociálneho konštruktivizmu v širšom zmysle paradigmy
