Abstract:
Tato práce se zabývá analýzou dvou synonymních slovesech start a begin. Cílem práce je porovnat kolokační možnosti ve spojení se substantivy. Daná slovesa jsou obecně považována za synonyma, ale nejsou zaměnitelná ve všech kontextech. Proto se tato práce zaměřuje na zjištění kolokačních omezení a hledá rozdíly v jejich užití. Abstract:
The thesis deals with the analysis of two synonymous verbs start and begin. The focus of this thesis is to compare and contrast their collocational possibilities in connection with nouns. The verbs are generally considered synonymous but they are not interchangeable in all contexts.
