Transition programme as a instrument for supporting employability of people with learning disabilities

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na službu Tranzitní program, na hlavní principy služby a využití programu jako specifického nástroje podpory profesní přípravy a profesního uplatnění osob s mentálním postižením. V teoretické části je pozornost věnována člověku s mentálním postižením, systému středního vzdělávání a profesní přípravě a též hlavním poznatkům o Tranzitním programu v České republice. V empirické části jsou prostřednictvím kvalitativního šetření analyzovány problémy a pozitivní zkušenosti, změny v poskytování programu a je zmapován současný vývoj služby. Výstupem práce jsou doporučení, která mohou přispět v dalším vývoji služby.

Abstract:

This dissertation project introduces Transition Service Program. It further elaborates on the main principles of this service program, its implementation, as well as its ability to be used as a specific support tool of development and integration of people with mental disabilities in the professional world. In the theoretical part, the emphasis is placed on a description of a person with mental retardation, system of medium education, and professional development in addition to presentation findings related of Transit Service Program as it works in the Czech Republic. The empirical part captures analysis of problems and positive experience, changes that could be made while using this program by implementing qualitative investigative methods. It also maps the development of this service. The final part of this presentation is dedicated recommendations which may bring additional development of this services
