The thesis analyzes the problem of post-colonialism in Ulysses and At Swim-Two-Birds. It outlines the political and social situation in Ireland early before and after the creation of the Irish Free State. It focuses on the problematic representation of the authentic Irish history, on the artistic representation of female characters and sexuality, and on the contrast between modernist and postmodernist …more
