Social and Psychosomatic Effects of a Specific Equestrian Sport-Para-Equestrian Dressage, on the Personality of a Physically Disabled Individual

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na specifický jezdecký sport - paradrezuru. Hlavní pozornost je věnována vlivu paradrezury na osobnost jedince, a to z pohledu sociálního, psychického a somatického. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část je věnována jezdecké disciplíně paradrezuře, dále je popsána problematika zdravotního postižení. Praktická část používá kvalitativní výzkum s využitím metody hloubkového rozhovoru. Respondenty jsou osoby s různými typy zdravotního postižení, které se věnují tomuto odvětví sportu. Cílem práce je popsat sociální a psychosomatický dopad paradrezury na osobnost člověka se zdravotním postižením.

Abstract:

This master's thesis focuses on the sport of Para-Equestrian Dressage and the social as well as psychosomatic impact of Para-Equestrian Dressage on an individual with disabilities and their mind. Special attention is given to the effect Para-Equestrian Dressage has on the individual from a social, psychological, and somatic point of view. The thesis has a theoretical and an empirical part. The theoretical part consists of a description of Para-Equestrian Dressage, followed by a discussion of disabilities. The empirical part uses the qualitative research interview as its research method. Participants are individuals with various disabilities who take part in the sport. The thesis aims to describe the social and psychosomatic effects Para-Equestrian Dressage has on an individual with disabilities.
