Abstract:
P. aeruginosa patří mezi oportunně patogenní mikroorganismy. Zřídka vyvolává infekce u zdravých jedinců mimo nemocniční prostředí. U imunosuprimovaných pacientů a pacientů s chronickou infekcí je P. aeruginosa schopna způsobit vážné a často fatální infekce. Abstract:
The opportunistic bacterium Pseudomonas aeruginosa causes chronic respiratory infections in immunocompromised individuals. Elimination of major reservoirs of P. aeruginosa and compliance with procedures to control cross infection remain essential if patients in hospital are o escape colonisation by the organism.
