Students of the University of West Bohemia and Their Foreknowledge about Possibility of Bone Marrow Donating
Abstract:
Práce se zabývá informovaností studentů Západočeské univerzity v Plzni o darování kostní dřeně. V Teoretické části popisuje transplantaci kostní dřeně a její historii, způsoby odběrů krvetvorných kmenových buněk, Český národní registr dárců dřeně a proces výběru dárce. V praktické části jsou za pomoci dotazníkového šetření zmapovány znalosti studentů o problematice darování kostní dřeně.
Abstract:
This thesis is focused on bone marrow donation awareness among the students of University of West Bohemia. The Theoretical part describes transplantation process itself and its history, the different ways of hematopoietic cells extraction, Czech national register of bone marrow donors and the process of picking the right donor.
