Abstract:

The purpose of this thesis is to take up with specific area in the south of Poland called Podhale as the one of the most visited regions of tourism in Poland as well as in Central Europe. Theoretical part of the thesis describes this region from geographical and ethnographical point of view. Location of the region, its natural conditions and territorial-administrative units are specified here. We think of historical evolution affecting local customs and traditions whereas we associate these facts with local people and wellknown persons. Aside from theory there is an important practical part of the thesis which relates to tourism. All information can serve for planning of possible visit to Podhale by tourists as well as can be used for other interested in this area which has much to offer.

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je přiblížit specifickou oblast jižního Polska ? Podhale, které je jedním z nejnavštěvovanějších turistických center nejen v Polsku, ale i v celé střední Evropě. Teoretická část práce popisuje tento region z geografického a také etnografického pohledu. V jednotlivých kapitolách je specifikována jeho poloha, přírodní podmínky a rozdělení na územně-správní jednotky. Nahlížíme rovněž na historický vývoj a jeho vliv na lokální zvyky a tradice, přičemž tyto skutečnosti dáváme do souvislosti s místními obyvateli a významnými osobnostmi regionu. Kromě teoretických informací je důležitou součástí práce také část týkající se turistického ruchu, kterou lze určit jako část praktickou. Uvedené v ní informace mohou sloužit nejen všem turistům pro naplánování eventuální návštěvy Podhala, ale lze je i použít pro ostatní zájemce, jimž daná oblast má co nabídnout.
