Die Koexistenz der Tschechen, Deutschen und Juden in Westböhmen und die Frage der tschechischen Beziehung zu Minderheiten

Abstract:

The aim of the bachelor thesis is 1) to present the social and cultural position of the Jewish community in Rokycany and its surroundings and 2) to find out attitudes of Czechs towards the Jewish and German minority. Knowledge about important events and everyday life of Jews in Rokycany and its surroundings will be obtained by researching from secondary literature and archival research in relevant institutions (district archives, regional and local history museum, Jewish Museum in Prague, etc.). of a biographical nature and the cultural and historical context will form the framework within which the literary and journalistic texts or correspondence obtained will be analysed and interpreted from the aspect of intercultural studies, i.e. with an emphasis on the comparative categories of own - foreign, same - other, etc. The hypothesis to be verified or denied would be the thesis should contribute to, assumes a low knowledge of the Jewish and German minorities on the part of the Czech population and a persistent problematic attitude towards minorities. Author will regularly consult the research methods and partial findings with the thesis supervisor (at least once a month).

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce za cíl 1) na příkladu Rokycanska a okolí představit společenské a kulturní postavení židovské komunity na Rokycansku a v širším okolí a 2) zjistit postoje Čechů k židovské a německé menšině. Poznatky o významných událostech i každodenním životě Židů na Rokycansku a v okolí budou získávány rešeršemi ze sekundární literatury a archivním výzkumem v příslušných institucích (okresní archiv, regionální a vlastivědné muzeum, Židovské muzeum v Praze ad.). Fakta biografické povahy a kulturně historický kontext utvoří rámec, v němž budou analyzovány a interpretovány získané literární a publicistické texty či korespondence z aspektu interkulturních studií, tzn. s důrazem na komparatistické kategorie vlastního - cizího, stejného - jiného ad. Hypotéza, k jejímuž ověření či popření by práce měla přispět, předpokládá malou znalost židovské a německé menšiny ze strany českého obyvatelstva a přetrvávající problematický vztah k menšinám. Autorka bakalářské práce bude metody výzkumu a dílčí zjištění pravidelně konzultovat s vedoucím práce (nejméně jednou měsíčně).
