The transformation perception of rock shows influenced by new technologies - with a focus on the Melodka music club in Brno

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá vlivem technologií na percepci recipienta zúčastňujícího se rockového koncertu. Jak se díky technologiím změnil druh prožitku a celková atmosféra v klubech. Co to vlastně atmosféra je, a jak ji lze definovat. Které faktory ji ovlivňují, a jaké aspekty jsou s daným pojmem spojeny. Vše se snaží tato práce vysvětlit a přiblížit. Pozornost je zaměřena na hudební klub Melodka, který má bohatou historii, a prošel mnohými změnami, takže jde co nejvýstižněji zachytit transformace s příchodem technologií. Cílem práce je definovat pojem atmosféra na rockových koncertech, zmapovat technický posun aspektů, které ji ovlivňují, a přiblížit, jak se technologie podílely na přeměně publika, kapel i klubů zejména v Brně, a to konkrétně v hudebním klubu Melodka. K vypracování práce pomohou osobní rozhovory s majiteli zmiňovaného hudebního klubu.

Abstract:

This thesis is focused on the influence of technology on rock music shows audience and its perception, the way how technologies have changed the enjoyment and the atmosphere in the club, and on what is actually the show, it’s atmosphere and definition. What factors make influence and what aspects are related to. Particular focus is put on the music club Melodka in Brno due to its rich history playing rock music as well as many changes it has endured during its existence and such is an apt choice for observation of transformations brought by new technologies. The aim of this thesis is to define the subject of atmosphere during rock music show, to map the technological advancement of those aspects that influence it and to describe how those advancements changed the audience, bands and music clubs in Brno, precisely in Melodka. Interviews with owners of this music club will help in the completion of this thesis.
