Abstract:

Tématem předložené práce jsou možnosti regionálního rozvoje Frýdlantska, které autor zpracovává od roku 2006 jako svou práci disertační. V předložené rigorózní práci nalezneme vymezení území regionu Frýdlantsko a jeho fyzicko geografickou a humánně geografickou charakteristiku vycházející z kvantitativní analýzy běžně dostupných literárních a dalších pramenů. Ta tvoří určitý vstup do území. Na ni navazující část zabývající se problematikou vztahu jádra a periferie v české i zahraničních geografiích směřuje k uchopení tématiky periferie, marginality a exkluze jak v jejím prostorovém tak sociálním kontextu, které jsou při práci s územím pro autora klíčové. Postupně tak docházíme ke konceptům sociálně konstruované identity, jinakosti a odporu otevírající pohled na děje a procesy, které mohou pomoci v porozumění prostorovosti studovaného regionu. Ty jsou nedílnou součástí teoretického přístupu, který v rámci připravované disertační práce vzniká. Jejich dílčí východiska a empirické ověření ve studované oblasti jsou zmiňovány v rámci autorových výzkumných aktivit ať již publikovaných (odkazy průběžně v textu), či současných a připravovaných (v závěrečné části textu).

Abstract:

The Dissertation draft of the thesis discusses the possibilities of regional development of Frýdlantsko region, which have been the major author’s effort since 2006. It also represents the key topic of his dissertation doctoral thesis in-process. The dissertation draft of thesis can be divided into two parts. The first should help the reader to localize Frýdlantsko region as a centre of our concern. It also offers the reader the basic overview of its physical and human geographic characteristics, based on quantitative (surface) data compiled from literary and other standard sources. The second part deals with the core and periphery-based approaches and their place in the Czech and other foreign geographies, which emphasise the concepts of periphery, marginality and exclusion. Those are the most important concepts through which the author approaches the area of his study. They are closely connected with the ideas of social constructed identities, otherness and resistance, which open up a view at the process of understanding or may represent "driving forces" shaping spatiality of the considered region. All the above mentioned concepts create the part of the theoretical approach oriented towards understanding of Frýdlantsko region processes in the prepared doctoral dissertation work. Partially they are verified by the author’s research, summarized within the text of this paper, partially they are elaborated in the plan of the present author’s research at the end of the text.
