Abstract:

Táto diplomová práca za zameriava na štyri Arménske kostoly, datované do obdobia od 4. - 7. storočia, nachádzajúce sa v meste Ečmiadzin. Štúdia zasadzuje mesto, Katedrálu a susediace chrámy do historického a teologického kontextu. V druhej časti si kladie za cieľ na základe existujúcich archeologických vykopávok, zhotoviť rekonštrukciu pôvodného mesta od jeho založenia v 2. storočí až po 4. storočie. V tomto období vznikali na území Arménska kostoly prvých kresťanských mučeníkov/svätcov. Boli to: Ečmiadzinská Katedrála, kostol svätej Hripsime, kostol svätej Gajane a Shoghakat.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis focuses on four Armenian churches, dated to the period from the 4th - 7th century, located in the city Echmiadzin. The study places the city, the Cathedral and the neighboring temples in a historical and theological context. In the second part, the thesis aims to reconstruct the original city from its foundation in the 2nd century to the 4th century, based on existing archaeological excavations. In this period, the churches of the first Christian martyrs/saints were built on the territory of Armenia. They were: the Echmiadzin Cathedral, the church of St. Hripsime, the church of St. Gajane and Shoghakat.
