Our city - an art project with a group of seniors

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na výtvarný projekt vzniklý ve skupině lidí v důchodovém věku v Domově pro seniory v Mostě. Téma výtvarné práce je inspirované historií města Mostu, kdy se po těžbě uhlí musela zbourat část města a poté postavit nová. Bakalářská práce je rozdělena do dvou částí. Teoretická část se zabývá historií města Mostu, vývoji měst, prací se seniory, ergoterapií a artefiletickou skupinou. Praktická část je věnována vzniku mnou navrženého výtvarného projektu a následnému vystavení. Klienti měli za úkol postavit nové město podle svých představ, jak by fungovalo lépe. Pracovali se svými vzpomínkami a zkušenostmi ze života. Společně zrekapitulovali města, která za svůj život navštívili. Také jsme se věnovali vzpomínkám ze staré části města Mostu, jak si ho senioři vybavují. Když si jako jedna skupina navrhli plán nového města, tak si následně vytvořili jednotlivé budovy z papírových krabic, kde využili svou fantazii. Během realizace ukázali své dovednosti a zkušenosti. Měli možnost pracovat samostatně i ve skupině. Finální výstup práce byl vystaven ve výstavní síni mostecké knihovny.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis focuses on the art project created in a group of people in retirement age in the Home for the elderly in Most. The theme of the artwork is inspired by the history of the town of Most when a part of the town had to be demolished after coal mining and then a new one was built. The bachelor thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part deals with the history of the town of Most, town development, work with seniors, ergotherapy and an artephiletics group. The practical part is devoted to the creation of my proposed art project and the subsequent exposure. The clients had the task to build a new town according to their ideas, how it would work better. They worked with their memories and experiences of life. Together we summarized the towns that they had visited in their lives. We also devoted to memories from the old part of the town of Most, as the seniors recalled it. When they designed a new town plan as one group, they subsequently created individual buildings from paper boxes, where they used their imagination. During the implementation they showed their skills and experience. They had the opportunity to work independently and in a group, as well. The final output of the work was displayed in the exhibition hall of the Most´s Library.
