Abstract:
The topic of the master thesis is an analysis and a comparison of two professional translations, for dubbing and for subtitles, of one selected epizode of American TV sitcom The Big Bang Theory. The analysis focuses also on different translation methods and strategies used by both the translator and the subtitler in the process of translation.
Abstract:
Předmětem této diplomové práce je analýza a srovnání dvou profesionálních překladů pro dabing a titulky jednoho dílu amerického komediálního seriálu Teorie velkého třesku, a dále pak odlišných překladatelských metod a postupů, pro které se rozhodli jak překladatel, tak titulkář v průběhu překládání.
