Use of art therapy with autistic children

Abstract:

V této bakalářské práci se věnuji arteterapii a možnostem jejího využití u dětí s poruchou autistického spektra. Práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a empirickou. V první části této práce jsou objasněna teoretická východiska o arteterapii, artefiletice a autismu. Druhá, empirická část zkoumá odbornou kvalifikovanost lektorů směrem k arteterapii, přístup arteterapeutů k autistickým dětem v praxi, popisuje vhodná témata a materiály pro děti s autismem a zjišťuje cíle arteterapie u těchto dětí. Pro empirickou část byl zvolen kvalitativní výzkum. Výzkumné šetření probíhalo prostřednictvím polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s arteterapeuty, kteří pracují s dětmi s autismem v krajských městech na území Čech. V empirické části je také popsána metodologie výzkumu, způsob zpracování dat a výsledky výzkumného šetření. V závěru práce jsou shrnuty výsledky výzkumného šetření, které nám předkládají představy arteterapeutů o práci s touto cílovou skupinou a specifika arteterapeutického přístupu s dětmi s poruchou autistického spektra.

Abstract:

In this bachelor thesis I deal with art therapy and possibilities of its utilization by the children with autistic spectrum defect. The work is divided into theoretical and empirical parts. The first part of this work explains bases of art therapy and autism. The second, empirical part examines professional qualification of lecturers in the art therapy, the approach of art therapists to autistic children in practise , describes suitable themes and materials for children with autism and detects goals of art therapy among these children. A qualitative research was chosen for the empirical part. The research survey has been mediated through the half structured discussion with art therapists who work with autistic children in the regional towns of the Czech territory. In the empiric part, the methodology of research, the way of data processing and results of research survey is also described. In the conclusion of this work, results of the research survey are summarized which put forward ideas of art therapists about work with this target group and specificity of art therapy with the children having autistic spectrum defect.
