Abstract:
This bachelor thesis focuses on the complicated evolution and perception of feminism in Northern Ireland, especially during the times of the ethno-nationalist conflict referred to as the Troubles. The thesis aims to do so through an analysis of the unique feminist TV series Derry Girls which sheds light on the lives of women during the lengthy militarized conflict.
