Inclusive Leisure Facilities for People with Disabilities in the Svitavy district

Abstract:

Magisterská diplomová práce „Inkluzivní volnočasová zařízení pro osoby se zdravotním postižením v okrese Svitavy“ se zabývá vybranými volnočasovými zařízeními okresu Svitavy, kde mohou osoby se zdravotním postižením trávit volný čas společně s intaktními. Cílem práce bylo zjistit a popsat jakým způsobem fungují (jak je řešena bezbariérovost, zdroj financování, personální zajištění apod.) vybraná inkluzivní volnočasová zařízení v okrese Svitavy (okrese bez většího města) z pohledu jejich vedoucích/správců (případně i uživatelů). Dalším cílem bylo „poskytnout“ možnou inspiraci pro ostatní volnočasová zařízení ve zmíněném okrese pro uplatňování inkluze. Teoretická část diplomové práce se zabývá obecně problematikou inkluze, charakteristikou zdravotního postižení, bariérami v životě lidí s postižením a typy volnočasových zařízení. V empirické části je zpracováno výzkumné šetření vedené formou dotazníků a rozhovorů s vedoucími/správci vybraných volnočasových institucí, jejich uživateli apod. V neposlední řadě je v práci uvedeno shrnutí doporučení pro fungování inkluzivních zařízení. Výsledky výzkumu ukázaly, jakým způsobem fungují vybraná inkluzivní volnočasová zařízení v okrese Svitavy. Rozbor těchto zařízení a souhrn doporučení mohou posloužit jako inspirace pro další zařízení v oblasti inkluze ve volném čase.

Abstract:

Master´s Diploma Thesis „Inclusive leisure time activities for disabled people in Svitavy district“ deals with leisure time facilities in Svitavy district where disabled people can spend their free time together with people without disability. The aim of the thesis was to find out and describe how do the chosen facilities in Svitavy district work (disabled access, financial funding, staffing etc.). The topic is displayed from a point of view of their heads, administrators or users. The other aim of the thesis is to offer a possible inspiration for inclusive approach in other leisure time facilities in Svitavy district. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with a general topic of inclusion, a characteristic of physical disability, barriers in lives of disabled people, kinds of leisure time facilities. There is a research survey done with questionnaires and interviews with the heads or the administrators of the leisure time facilities, and also with their users in the empiric part of the thesis, as well as there is a summary of recommendations for working of inclusive facilities. The results of the research shows how do the chosen inclusive leisure time facilities in Svitavy district work. The analysis and the summary of recommendations can serve as inspiration for other leisure time activities in the area of inclusion.
