FED as Monetary Authority in USA during Global Crisis

Abstract:

This graduation thesis deals with the Fed´s monetary policy in USA during global crisis. The first chapter is aimed at the basic characteristics of the monetary policy, targets and tools of monetary policy, transmission mechanism and monetary policies of the Fed during financial crisis. The second chapter analysis the monetary policy of the Fed in comparison with the monetary policy of the European Central Bank. The third chapter provides evaluations of results from the analysis and evaluations of the effects on the real economy.

Abstract:

Diplomová práca sa zaoberá výkonom menovej politiky Fedu v krízovom období v USA. Prvá kapitola je zameraná na základnú charakteristiku menovej politiky, ciele a nástroje menovej politiky, transmisný mechanizmus a menovú politiku Fedu v čase finančnej krízy. Druhá kapitola analyzuje výkon menovej politiky Fedu v komparácii s menovou politikou Európskej centrálnej banky. Tretia kapitola prináša hodnotenie výsledkov analýz a dopady na reálnu ekonomiku.
