Lexicon of members of Armed Forces of Czech Republic

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá lexikem příslušníků ozbrojených sil České republiky. Hlavním výstupem práce je slovník slangových výrazů uţívaných profesionálními vojáky, zejména vojenskými příslušníky pozemních sil Armády ČR. Součástí naší práce je také vymezení některých lingvistických termínů (sociolekt, slang, profesní mluva, argot), seznámení s metodikou výzkumu a charakteristikou zkoumaného prostředí.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with lexicon of the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic. The main outcome of this work is the dictionary of slang terms used by professional soldiers, especially members of the military ground forces of the Army of the Czech Republic. Part of our work is the definition of certain linguistic terms (sociolect, slang, professional speech, argot), familiarization with the methodology of the research and characterization of the examined environment.
