Abstract:
In many bioanalytical applications, biologically important molecules (DNA, proteins and antibodies) are conjugated with fluorescent labels to achieve a high sensitivity of analyses. Semiconductor nanoparticles, quantum dots, have proved to be suitable parts of highly luminescent probes and sensors with a broad usability in analytical chemistry.
