The Cinderella fairy tale is known all over the world, yet it has many variants. The goal of the presented Master thesis is to analyse the literary tradition of the Czech and Norwegian variants of this fairy tale. A special emphasis is on the film variant Three Wishes for Cinderella (1973) which has become a cultural phenomenon and part of Christmas traditions in both the countries. Its Norwegian version …more
