Reactions of betaine py PS2Cl with phosphazenes

Abstract:

Předkládaná práce se zabývá studiem reakcí N,N´- di(trimetylsilyl) P,P,P´,P´-tetrafenyl difosfazenium chloridu (fosfazen) s pyridiniumbetainem kyseliny chlorodithiofosforečné (py.PS2Cl) ve vybraných rozpouštědlech. Přehled popsaných reakcí fosfazenu a py.PS2Cl zpracovaných v literární části neshrnuje pouze výsledky dosud známých reakcí, ale také předkládá přehled zvolených experimentálních podmínek, které jsou klíčovými faktory ovlivňujícími průběh reakcí a strukturu vznikajících látek. Se znalostí těchto faktorů bylo možné studovat nové reakční systémy s cílem připravit nové cyklické sloučeniny. Nejprve jsme verifikovali reakci z bakalářské práce. Reakce fosfazenu s py.PS2Cl v prostředí toluenu v poměru 2:1. Cílem studované reakce bylo prozkoumat vlastnosti produktu. Došlo ke vzniku nového produktu, který byl charakterizován spektroskopickými metodami (31P NMR, infračervená spektroskopie) a pomocí RTG strukturní analýzy. Pro studium reakcí fosfazenu s py.PS2Cl byly vybrány další rozpouštědla – butylacetátu a tetrahydrofuranu. Byla provedena série experimentů v různých poměrech. Butylacetát se prokázal jako vhodné rozpouštědlo, došlo ke vzniku cyklického krystalického produktu. Cyklická sloučenina byla charakterizován spektroskopickou metodou 31P NMR a pomocí RTG strukturní analýzy. V tetrahydrofuranu došlo k reakci fosfazenu a py.PS2Cl, ale nikoliv ke vzniku krystalické látky. Sloučeniny byly určeny pomocí 31P NMR.

Abstract:

Submitted work deals with the systematic study of the reaction of N,N´- di(trimethyl)silyl, P,P,P´,P´-tetrafenyl diphosphazenium chloride (phosphazene) with chlorodithiophosphoric acid pyridiniumbetaine (py.PS2Cl) in selected solvents. Summary of published reactions of phosphazene and py.PS2Cl does not present only results of similar reactions but presents overview of experimental conditions of the reactions as well. Properly chosen experimental conditions play a key role directly affecting course of reaction and the structure of arising compounds. With the knowledge of these factors we were able to perform synthesis with the aim to prepare new cyclic compounds. First of all, we verified reaction from a bachelor's thesis – reaction phosphazene with py.PS2Cl in toluene in ratio 2:1. Main aim of the study was to explore properties of a product from the bachelor's thesis. But we found out a new one which was characterized by spectroscopic methods (31P NMR and FT-IR spectroscopy) and definitely confirmed by X-ray diffraction analysis. For further research of reactions phosphazene with py.PS2Cl were chosen other solvents – butyl acetate and tetrahydrofuranu (THF). We carried out a set of an experiment in a different ratio. Butyl acetate was proved as an apposite solvent. It was got a formation of a cyclic crystalline product which was characterized by 31P NMR spectroscopic method and definitely confirmed by X-ray diffraction analysis. In THF was in motion reaction between phosphazene and py.PS2Cl, but not for a formation of a crystalline compound.
