The Olše river in the territorial system of the ecological stability

Abstract:

Řeky v minulosti vytvářely přirozené biokoridory v celé své délce nejen pro společenstva ryb a mihulí, ale i živočichy suchozemské, kteří byli navzájem troficky provázáni. Za posledních zhruba sto let se tyto biokoridory silnou antropogenní činností výrazně změnily, takže často neplní primární funkci vodních toků. Práce obsahuje ucelenější popis základních charakteristik řeky Olše a zaměřuje se na její migrační prostupnost a její začlenění do územního systému ekologické stability. Bylo zjištěno, že vzhledem k silné fragmentaci řeka Olše neplní funkci biokoridoru pro vodní obratlovce ve směru proti proudu.

Abstract:

In the past, the entire length of all rivers formed natural habitat corridors not only for fish and lamperns but also for animals. They were interconnected on the trophic level. During the last century severe anthropogenic factors changed the rivers dramatically. Often, their primary function is generally no longer that of a watercourse. This thesis examines the main characteristics of river Olše and focuses on its migrational transmissivity and its integration in the territorial system of the ecological stability.
