The diploma thesis deals with the issue of personal subject pronouns in French. First of all, it describes the evolution of personal pronouns from Latin to the present. Next, the comparative study is submitted, which intends to draw comparison within Spanish, Italian, English and Czech. Tato diplomová práce pojednává o systému osobních podmětových zájmen ve francouzštině. V rámci této práce představujeme jednak analýzu osobních podmětových zájmen z diachronního hlediska, jednak srovnávací studii ze synchronního hlediska.
