The theme of Mermaid and its application in art therapy with the emphasis on gender aspect.

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem Mořská panna používaným v arteterapii z genderového hlediska. Teoretickou část mé práce tvoří uvedení do kontextu tohoto mýtu, jednotlivých verzí příběhu včetně pohádky od Hanse Christiana Andersena. Dále se zabývá genderovými studii a jejich vývojem, a také symbolikou tématu Mořská panna i jeho barevností. V praktické části bakalářské práce je nastíněn smíšený výzkum, který prezentuje jednotlivé verze namalovaných mořských panen a zároveň poukazuje na hlavní rozdíly v provedení tématu mezi muži a ženami. Průzkum pracuje především s vizuální podobou mořských panen, jejich funkcí a fází příběhů, ve kterém byly zobrazeny. Práce zároveň odkrývá symboliku mýtu o mořské panně a jejího přirozeného prostředí, ale i interpretační potenciál konkrétní fáze příběhu. Interpretace jsou v duchu Rožnovské arteterapie.

Abstract:

Abstract The thesis deals with the theme of Mermaid in production of art therapy students and externists from the gender point of view. The theoretical part of my thesis creates the context of the myth of mermaid and also the fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen. It deals with the gender studies and their development, with symbols and colour skale. The mixed research in this thesis presents possibilities of visual version of the Mermaid theme and it shows the main differences between men and women . The research deals with the visual form of the mermaids, their functions and phases of the mythical story. It also reveals the symbols of mermaid myth and their natural habitat and also the potential of the interpretations of the concrete phase of the theme. The interpretations of the chosen phase of the story are within the Rožnov art therapy tradition.
