Saving people for retirement using supplementary pension insurance and supplementary pension savings at the regional level

Abstract:

Cílem této diplomové práce je porovnat průměrný měsíční příspěvek na penzijní spoření s průměrnou mzdou v jednotlivých krajích a zhodnotit, zda výše příspěvku odpovídá přímo úměrně výši hrubé měsíční mzdy či nikoliv. Teoretická část této diplomové práce se nejdříve zabýváme veřejnými financemi a regionálními diferenciacemi, na tuto kapitolu navazuje sociální zabezpečení z obecného hlediska až k samotnému důchodovému pojištění a jeho systému. V poslední části teoretické práce se věnujeme historii penzijního systému. V praktické části této diplomové práce si na začátku představujeme jednotlivé penzijní společnosti a zhodnotili jsme si, u které je nejlepší si založit doplňkové penzijní spoření, dále se věnujeme vývoji penzijního připojištění a doplňkového penzijního spoření. Na tuto kapitolu navazuje naše hypotéza a to, zda si lidé v krajích s vyššími příjmy spoří více pomocí penzijního spoření. V poslední části naší diplomové práce si shrnujeme hlavní problémy současného systému, navrhneme případně možné řešení do budoucna a podíváme se na případovou studii.

Abstract:

The aim of this master's thesis is to compare the average monthly contribution to pension savings with the average wage in individual regions and to evaluate whether the amount of the contribution corresponds directly in proportion to the gross monthly wage or not. The theoretical part of this master's thesis first deals with public finances and regional differentiations, and this chapter is followed by social security system from a general point of view up to the pension insurance system itself. In the last section of the theoretical part, we discuss the history of the pension system. In the practical part of this master's thesis, we start by introducing the different pension companies and assessing which is the best one to set up a supplementary pension savings scheme with, and then we discuss the development of supplementary pension insurance and supplementary pension savings schemes. This chapter is followed by our hypothesis, namely, whether people in higher-income regions save more through pension savings. In the last part of our master's thesis, we summarize the main problems of the current system, suggest possible solutions for the future, and look at a case study.
