Innovative approaches in the presentation of cultural heritage in Slovakia: The role of interactive elements in creating an authentic experience of visiting historical monuments

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis is devoted to the use of virtual reality and interactivity to present and promote the cultural heritage of Slovakia. This work aims to investigate how these technologies can be used to improve the experience of visiting historical monuments and subsequently strengthen their awareness. The work focuses on specific examples of the application of these technologies and analyses their advantages and possible limitations. The conclusions drawn will advocate for the adoption of these technologies as valuable tools for promoting cultural heritage, which will ultimately promote a deeper appreciation of historical monuments among diverse audiences. Also, this work can serve as guidance and inspiration for other cultural heritage sites that have not yet adopted these technologies, as they have the potential to connect with younger generations and support tourism, thus ensuring a vibrant future for the country's heritage.

Abstract:

Táto bakalárska práca sa venuje využitiu interaktívnych prvkov s účelom prezentácie a propagácie kultúrneho dedičstva na Slovensku. Cieľom tejto práce je skúmať, ako môžu byť tieto technológie využité na zlepšenie zážitku z návštevy historických pamiatok a následné posilnenie ich povedomia. Práca sa zameriava na konkrétne príklady aplikácie týchto technológií a analyzuje ich výhody a možné obmedzenia. Vyvodené závery budú obhajovať prijatie týchto technológií ako hodnotných nástrojov na podporu kultúrneho dedičstva, čo v konečnom dôsledku podporí hlbšie ocenenie historických pamiatok medzi rôznorodým publikom. Taktiež táto práca môže slúžiť ako návod a inšpirácia pre ďalšie lokality kultúrneho dedičstva, ktoré tieto technológie ešte neprijali, pretože majú potenciál spojiť sa s mladšími generáciami a podporiť cestovný ruch, čím zabezpečia živú budúcnosť pre dedičstvo krajiny.
