Study of nitrogen oxide atmosphere especially N2O4 on aging process of porous materials on cellulose and lignocellulose base

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je studování vlivu atmosféry tvořené oxidy dusíku na proces stárnutí vzorků pórovitých materiálů na celulózové a lignocelulózové bázi. Vzorky byly exponovány v dané atmosféře po předem stanovenou dobu. Po uplynutí doby expozice byly měřeny mechanické a optické vlastnosti a porovnávány se stavy před expozicí. Měření prokázalo, že mechanické vlastnosti vzorků buničiny se zhoršovaly, optické vlastnosti byly však po expozici ve znečišťující atmosféře zlepšeny.

Abstract:

The aim of this work is to study the effect of the atmosphere made up of nitrogen oxides to the aging of samples of cellulosic and lignocellulosic-based porous materials. Samples were exposed to the atmosphere for a predetermined period. Mechanical and optical properties of samples were measured before and after exposure and the results were compared. Measurements showed that the mechanical properties of pulp samples are deteriorated, the optical properties are, however, after exposure to pollutant atmosphere improved.
