Occupational therapy in people with Huntington's disease

Abstract:

Strukturovaný abstrakt Úvod Bakalářská práce se soustředí na problematikou Huntingtonovy choroby se zaměřením na využití ergoterapie u nemocných s tímto onemocněním. Cíl práce Cílem práce je seznámení s problematikou Huntingtonovy choroby a přednesení uceleného pohledu na její léčbu a možnosti rehabilitace se zaměřením na ergoterapii. Záměrem hlavní části je vypracování kazuistiky a seznámení s možnostmi ergoterapie u konkrétního pacienta s Huntingtonovu chorobou. Metodika Na základě rozhovoru, pozorování a testovaní probanda určit ergoterapeutické cíle a intervence u pacienta s Huntingtonovou chorobou se zaměřením na zvládání každodenních všedních činností a postupné zlepšování a udržení kognitivních funkcí. Výsledky Porovnání vstupního a výstupního ergoterapeutického vyšetření na základě pozorování a hodnocení pomocí testů. Zhodnocení ergoterapeutických intervencí a výsledná práce. Diskuze Diskuze je zpracována na základě poznatků získaných rešeršemi a vlastním poznáním z práce s probandem. Jedná se o zamyšlení nad jednotlivými terapeutickými přístupy u Huntingtonovy choroby. Závěr Závěrem je zhodnocení cílů a úkolů bakalářské práce včetně jejího přínosu pro obor ergoterapie a rehabilitace.

Abstract:

Structured abstrakt Introduction The bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of Huntington's disease, more specifically on the use of ergotherapy in patients with this disease. Aim The aim of the thesis is to get acquainted with the issue of Huntington's disease and to present a comprehensive view of its treatment and possibilities of rehabilitation with focus on occupational therapy. The main part of the thesis is to prepare case study and to elaborate on the possibilities of in a specific patient with Huntington's disease. Methods Based on interviewing, observation and proband testing the thesis will determine the occupational therapy goals and interventions in a patient with Huntington's disease, focusing on managing everyday activities and gradual improvement and maintenance of cognitive functions. Results Comparison of entry and exit occupational therapy examinations based on observation and test evaluation. Evaluation of ergotherapeutic interventions and final work. Discussion The discussion is processed on the basis of the knowledge gained by the research and the actual knowledge of working with the proband. It is a reflection on individual therapeutic approaches in Huntington's disease. Conclusion The conclusion is a summary and evaluation of the entire bachelor thesis, including its contribution to the field of occupational therapy and rehabilitation.
