The Incidence of HLA-B27 Positivity in the General Population and Patients from Rheumatology Advice

Abstract:

Přítomnost antigenu HLA - B27 je nejčastěji asociována s ankylozující spondylitidou. Jedná se o autoimunitní onemocnění, které je charakteristické poškozením pohybového ústrojí, především páteře. Teoretická část této práce se sestává ze tří částí. První část obsahuje obecný popis hlavního histokompatibilního systému, resp. HLA (Human leukocyte antigen), do něhož spadá i antigen HLA - B27. Druhá část je zaměřena na charakteristiku ankylozující spondylitidy a její vztah s antigenem HLA - B27. Dále je zde popsána např. diagnostika nemoci či možnosti její léčby. V třetí části jsou popsány metody stanovení antigenu HLA - B27 pomocí sérologických, molekulárně - genetických metod či průtokové cytometrie. Statistické srovnání výskytu HLA - B27 pozitivity bylo vytvořeno pomocí dvou zkoumaných skupin. První skupinu tvořilo 100 jedinců z kontrolní skupiny, kteří byli testováni v rámci preventivního laboratorního vyšetření. Druhou skupinu tvořilo 100 pacientů revmatologických poraden. Z kontrolní skupiny bylo HLA - B27 pozitivních 9 % jedinců, u pacientů to bylo 16 % jedinců.

Abstract:

The presence of HLA - B27 is most often associated with ankylosing spondylitis. It is an autoimmune disease that is characterized by damage to the musculoskeletal system especially the spine. The theoretical part of this thesis consists of three parts. The first section provides a general description of the major histocompatibility system or HLA (Human leukocyte antigen) in which the antigen and HLA - B27. The second part focuses on the characteristics of ankylosing spondylitis and its relationship with the antigen HLA - B27. It is described here as disease diagnosis or treatment options. In the third section describes the methods for antigen HLA - B27 using serological and molecular genetic methods or flow cytometry. For statistical comparison of HLA - B27 positivity were created the two studied groups. The first group consisted 100 individuals in the control group who were tested in the framework of preventive laboratory tests. The second consisted of 100 patients rheumatological advice. The control group was HLA B27 positive 9 % of individuals in patients it was 16 % of the subjects.
