Tree protection in residential environments

Abstract:

V této práci je pojednáno o problematice ochrany dřevin v městském prostředí. Cílem této práce je zmapování používaných ochranných opatření ve městě Pardubice. Práce je rovněž možným prostředkem k vytvoření podkladu, který je cestou k získání materiálu pro vytvoření příručky umožňující snazší orientaci veřejné správy zeleně ve volbě jednotlivých ochranných opatření. V teoretické části je pojednáno o charakteristice různých typů městských stanovišť ve vztahu k dřevinám. Na základě potřeby chránit dřeviny před nepříznivými vlivy městského prostředí je zpracován výběr nejčastěji používaných a nově používaných ochranných opatření. Tato opatření jsou rozdělena dle způsobu ochrany na ochranu mechanickou, chemickou a biologickou. V rámci praktické části je popsán současný stav ochrany dřevin v Pardubicích. Dále je v práci zaznamenáno používání ochranných opatření, včetně hodnocení jejich množství, vhodnosti a funkčnosti v konfrontaci se zjištěnými teoretickými poznatky.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of tree protection in urban environment. The aim of this work is to map the used protective measures in the city of Pardubice. The work should also serve to create a basis, which is a possible way to obtain material for the creation of a manual enabling easier orientation of the public administration of greenery in the choice of indivdual protective measures. The theoretical part deals with the characteristics of different types of urban habitats in relation to woody plants. Based on the need to protect woody plants from the adverse effects of the urban environment, a selection of the most frequently used and newly used protective measures is prepared. These measures are divided according to the method od pretection into mechanical, chemical and biological protection. The practical part describes the current state of tree protection in Pardubice. Furthermore, the work describes the use of protective measures, including the evaluation of their quantity, suitability and functionality, in confrontation with the theoretical knowledge.
