Communication of the Medical Staff in the Retirement Home from the Perspective of Clients

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá komunikací personálu v domově pro seniory očima uživatelů. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na charakteristiku stáří a změny ve stáří, potřeby seniorů a věkovou diskriminaci seniorů. Vymezena je také komunikace a její specifika se seniory. Poslední část teorie charakterizuje domovy pro seniory, jejich činnosti, standardy kvality a pracovníky v sociálních službách. Výzkumná část práce má za cíl zjistit, jak jsou senioři spokojeni s komunikací s ošetřujícím personálem. Obsahem této části práce jsou vyhodnoceny výsledky kvantitativního výzkumu.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with communication of the medical staff in the retirement home from the perspective of clients. The theoretical part characterizes age and changes caused by the age of pensioners, needs of pensioners and the age discrimination of pensioners. There is also defined communication with pensioners and its specifics. The last part of the theoretical part characterizes the retirement home, its activities, standards of quality, and health care workers. The empirical part discovers how satisfied pensioners are with communication with medical staff. In this part are also included the evaluated results of the quantitative research.
