Visual identity of a cultural facility - "con-action" in Fürth

Abstract:

Mým cílem bylo vytvoření nové vizuální identity, corporate identity firmy "con-action" ve městě Fürth (Německo). Toto kulturní zařízení organizuje hudební akce pro mladé. Snažila jsem se o tvorbu moderního mladistvého vizuálního stylu, který nepůsobí však dětinsky. Mé logo se skládá z počátečních písmen "c" a "a", které tvoří dva protínající se kruhy, jež se vzájemně nedotýkají. Tímto vizualizuji hru slov "connection" a evokuji rotaci. Barevná kombinace z černé a oranžové podporuje živost a dynamičnost výrazu. Ve stejném smyslu vytvářím taktéž veškerou obchodní korespondenci firmy - firemní papír, obálku, vizitky, manuál. Snažila jsem se o vhodné spojení mladého stylu a určité serióznosti, které odráží danou podnikatelksou filozofii firmy a slouží této malé firmě jako prezentace a reklama.

Abstract:

My intention was to design a brand new Corporate Identity for the cultural company "con-action" in Fürth, Germany. They organize several music events for adolescents and young adults. So I created a modern youthful design which fits the aims of the firm. But at the same time it has to be serious and not this much playful, because the company is under municipal authorities. I visualized the term ?connection? which is a play on words in the title "con-action". My logo shows two rings which gear into each other, but have a disruption in their points of contact. The two rings symbolize the initials of the title, "c" and "a". The disconnection gives the whole shape a kind of twist, so it seems that the rings are rotating in opposite directions. For the color I choose black for the "c" and an orange for the "a". Two colors which fit perfectly to a modern, young and fresh company. In a nutshell my work is a effective combination of youth and seriousness, perfectly fitting the image that the company wants to communicate to their audience and would make this small business emerge and a little bit more successful.
