Analysis of Defensive Means and Their Use in Self-Defense

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou obranných prostředků a jejich využití v sebeobranně. Práce má za cíl posoudit vhodnost běžně dostupných obranných prostředků v podmínkách sebeobrany obyvatelstva. Za tímto účelem je na základě syntézy poznatků vytvořen seznam běžně dostupných obranných prostředků, dále pak určeny podmínky sebeobrany a vytipovány nejčastější scénáře použití sebeobrany. Analýza obranných prostředků je provedena pomocí metody dotazníkového šetření, kdy výzkumný soubor tvořila široká veřejnost a příslušníci Policie ČR. Na základě výsledků dotazníkového šetření a metody vlastního hodnocení byly poté sebeobranné prostředky hodnoceny a byla určena jejich vhodnost. Výsledkem práce je poté návrh vhodných sebeobranných prostředků pro každodenní sebeobranu. Autor by ke každodenní sebeobraně doporučil teleskopický obušek, pepřový sprej a taktické pero.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis deals with the analysis of defensive means and their use in self-defense. Thesis aims to assess the suitability of commonly available defenses in the conditions of self-defense. For this purpose, based on the synthesis of knowledge, a list of commonly available means of defense is created, then the conditions of self-defense are determined and the most common scenarios for the use of self-defense are selected. The analysis of defense means is performed using the method of a questionnaire survey, where the research group consisted of the general public and members of the Police of the Czech Republic. Based on the results of the questionnaire survey and the method of self-evaluation, the self-defense means were then evaluated and their suitability was determined. The result of the work is then the design of suitable self-defense means for everyday self-defense. The author would recommend a telescopic baton, pepper spray and a tactical pen for everyday self-defense.
