Práce je zaměřena na rozbor efektivity jednotlivých druhů trestu. Stručně charakterizuje účel trestu, recidivu a její trestání podle české právní úpravy a pojednává též o roli probace v trestání. The thesis is focused on the analysis of effectivity of particular types of punishment. It characterises the purpose of punishment, recidivism and its punishing according to the Czech legislation and deals with the role of probation.
