Factors affecting the success/failure of women with children till the age of 15 in re-entering the labour market after completing a retraining course

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se soustřeďuje na faktory, které ovlivňují (ne)úspěšnost žen s dětmi do 15-ti let při návratu na trhu práce po absolvování rekvalifikace. V důsledku nutnosti zúžení obecných faktorů se především zaměřuji na faktory vztahující se k absolvovaným rekvalifikačním kurzům. S těmito faktory dále souvisí činitelé vyplývající z profilu stanovené cílové skupiny, která se především vyznačuje potřebou pracovního uplatnění, potřebou harmonizace potenciálního zaměstnání s péčí o děti do 15-ti let a dalšími rodinnými závazky. Individuální situace a možnosti jedinců jsou dále zasazeny do širšího situačního rámce, kam můžeme zařadit podmínky na pracovním trhu, aktuální nabídku nástrojů APZ v daném regionu, strukturu rekvalifikačních kurzů či subjektivní postoje. K zodpovězení základní výzkumné otázky Jaké faktory ovlivňují (ne)úspěšnost žen s dětmi do 15-ti let při návratu na trh práce po rekvalifikaci v lokalitě Brno-město? byla zvolena kvalitativní strategie výzkumu ve formě polostrukturovaného dotazování s otevřenými otázkami. Ze zjištěných dat docházíme k závěru, že primární roli hraje motivace a osobní předpoklady jednotlivce společně se strukturou a nabídkou APZ nástrojů. Potřeba sladění práce a zaměstnání do jisté míry ustupuje potřebě pracovního uplatnění.

Abstract:

This thesis is focused on the factors which are affecting success of women with children till the age of 15 re-entering the labour market after completing the retraining courses. Due to need of narrowing general factors I have decided to focus on the factors regarding graduation retrainings. These factors are associated with other agents specific for the target group which are the need to harmonize the sphere of job and care for children till the age of 15 and other family commitments. Individual situation and possibilities are set in a broader context containing the current labour market structure, retrainings offer in the specific region and individual attitude. The thesis aims to answer the main research question: Which factors affect the success/failure of women with children till the age of 15 in re-entering the labour market after completing retraining course in the region the city of Brno? The qualitative research strategy, especially the interviews with open questions, was chosen to answer this question. The research comes to the conclusion that, according to the interviewed women, the primary agent is motivation and personal qualifications together with the offer of retraining courses. The need to harmonize the job and family recedes to a certain extent to the need of employability.
