Předložená práce prezentuje montánní region Karvinsko, jeho problémy spojené s nálezem a těžbou uhlí, s následným rozvojem průmyslu ve městě Karviná a okolí. - vymezení montánního regionu Karvinsko - historický vývoj regionu - vývoj Ostravsko-karvinského revíru a koksárenství - zhodnocení dopadu průmyslu na životní prostředí - projekty na obnovu krajiny
