Age management as a tool for managing work processes

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce zkoumá age management v moderní vybrané organizaci s důrazem na stárnutí pracovní síly. Zkoumá strategie a opatření, jež může organizace použít k účinnému řízení věkové rozmanitosti mezi zaměstnanci. Teoretická část definuje klíčové pojmy spojené s age managementem a zkoumá současnou demografickou situaci v České republice. Cílem praktického průzkumu je provést dotazníkové šetření oslovených zaměstnanců a pohovor vedený s manažerkou odděleni HR a zjistit konkrétní opatření v oblasti age managementu, která jsou uplatňována ve vybrané společnosti působící v České republice. Dílčím cílem je navrhnout a doporučit na základě teoretických poznatků konkrétní opatření, které je při řízení HR potřeba učinit proto, aby age management účinně a účelně v organizaci fungoval. Provedeným výzkumem je zjištěna důležitost age managementu a zároveň jsou identifikovány drobné nedostatky v implementaci opatření. Výsledky práce a doporučení jsou definovány v závěru.

Abstract:

This Master’s thesis examines age management in modern organisations with an emphasis on the ageing workforce. It explores strategies and measures that an organisation can use to effectively manage age diversity amongst its workforce. The theoretical part defines key concepts related to age management and examines the current demographic situation in the Czech Republic. The aim of the practical research is to conduct a questionnaire survey of the employees interviewed and an interview with the HR manager to find out specific age management measures applied in a selected company operating in the Czech Republic. The sub-objective is to propose and recommend, based on the theoretical findings, specific measures that need to be taken in HR management to make age management effective and efficient in the organisation. Through the research carried out, the importance of age management is established and at the same time minor gaps in the implementation of the measures are identified. The results of the work and recommendations are defined in the conclusion.
