The Comparison of the Financial Literacy Level

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce nabízí rámcový pohled na problematiku finanční gramotnosti jako na prostředek ke zvýšení finanční odpovědnosti občanů. Měla by pomoci lépe se zorientovat v základních pojmech týkajících se finanční gramotnosti a dalších aspektech, jež s finanční gramotností úzce souvisí. Za pomoci analýzy prováděných aktivit mapuje situaci finančního vzdělávání a úroveň finanční gramotnosti v České republice a dalších vybraných zemích, z nichž jedna disponuje podobnou ekonomickou vyspělostí a druhá se jeví jako diametrálně odlišná.

Abstract:

This thesis provides a general view on the issue of financial literacy as an useful tool to increase the financial responsibility of citizens. It should be helpful for better orientation in the basic concepts related to the financial literacy and in other aspects, which are also closely related to the financial literacy. By analyzing of the carried out activities it conducts a survey of the situation in financial education and the level of financial literacy in the Czech Republic and other selected countries, out of which the first one have similar economic level and the second one seems to be diametrically different.
