Russian typography of the 60's and the usage of it's principles in authentic typeface.

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá typografií vznikající v sovětském Rusku šedesátých let, takzvaným Chruščovovským táním. V teoretické části zkoumám jak období samotné, tak písma, která v této době vznikala. Práce se zabývá především analýzou a následným návrhem autorského písma inspirovaného zkoumaným obdobím. Tento proces, včetně vlastního písma, je zaznamenán v autorské knize, která je výstupem projektu.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the typography emerging in Soviet Russia in the 1960s, the so-called Khrushchev Thaw. The theoretical part of this bachelor thesis analyzes the period itself as well as the typefaces that were created in this era. The main part of this thesis is the analysis and subsequent design of the authentic typeface design inspired by the examined period. This process, including the typeface itself, is recorded in the author's book, which is the output of the project.
