Abstract:
This thesis deals with the possible inspirational sources of Artificial Paradises by Charles Baudelaire. It analyses three short stories (The Black Cat, Hop-Frog and The Cask of Amontillado) of American author Edgar Allan Poe and an autobiographical prose Confessions of an English Opium-Eater of British writer Thomas de Quincey.
