Entrepreneurship Education: The Perspective of Theory and Practice

Abstract:

Disertační práce se věnuje reflexi výchovy k podnikavosti, na kterou pohlížíme ze tří zvolených perspektiv: perspektivy teorie, perspektivy expertů a perspektivy školní praxe. Při volbě optiky jsme vycházeli z potřeby co nejširšího, sdíleného porozumění tématu, je mohla zprostředkovat kombinace perspektiv teorie a praxe. Prostřednictvím holistické teoretické perspektivy a kvalitativních expertních rozhovorů byly identifikovány tři tematické oblasti, které tvoří komplementární celek výchovy k podnikavosti, a které můžeme zpětně vztahovat k proměnám podnikatelského paradigmatu: oblast personální zahrnující osobnostní rozvoj podnikatele, oblast sociální zahrnující širší kontext podnikání a oblast pracovní vztahující se k podnikání jako alternativní pracovní kariéře. Jednotlivé složky působí ve výchově k podnikavosti komplementárně, v silném vzájemném vztahu. Kvantitativní dotazníkové šetření mezi učiteli ekonomických předmětů středních odborných škol v České republice poukázalo na odlišné pojetí cílů výchovy k podnikavosti u respondentů šetření, jež je převážně kombinací tvorby vědění a přípravy k povolání. Potvrzuje se, že učitelé se opírají především o předepsaný seznam učebních témat, zároveň z výsledků ale vyplývá, že respondenti v drtivé většině aplikují průřezové téma Člověk a svět práce ve výuce, tj. zamýšlejí se také nad nadpředmětovým a formativním aspektem své výuky, které však směřují mimo tradiční těžiště zájmu výchovy k podnikavosti (motivaci k podnikání) spíše k prvkům kreativního kariérového poradenství.

Abstract:

Dissertation thesis focuses on research of entrepreneurship education from three perspectives: perspective of theory, expert perspective and perspective of vocational school teachers of economics subjects. The theoretical part of this dissertation thesis maps the concepts of entrepreneurship and the theoretical approaches towards the development of entrepreneurship; it contemplates the term entrepreneurship itself and also the educational context of use of this term. Qualitative expert interviews have helped us to identify three topical areas, which form a complementary whole of entrepreneurship education , and which can be related to the theory of an accented holistic view of the entrepreneurship. This view is based on on three pillars: personality of the entrepreneur –social context of the entrepreneurship – and entrepreneurship as the process of growth. The main research question is focused on the concept of entrepreneurship education by teachers of the economical subjects at the secondary schools specialised in economics. Partial questions are connected to the main research question. These questions are related to other chosen determinants of the entrepreneurship education identified in the theoretical part of the thesis. The results show clearly that in the case of preferred aims of the respondents of our examination we could talk about the combination of creation of knowledge and preparation for the profession. It is confirmed that the teachers rely significantly on a prescribed list of educational topics, but at the same time the results clearly show that that the respondents think about their subject and formative aspect of their classes through using of cross-sectional topic .
